Choose two of the following pairs of terms, and for each pair, briefly define both terms while clearly but briefly explaining the difference between them.  The answer to each question should not be more than 2-3 sentences.

Then you will see a list of four pairs of terms. These four pairs will be taken from the following list:

• social relativism versus individual relativism

• individual relativism versus moral absolutism
• what we desire for its own sake versus what we desire for the sake of something else (Aristotle)
